Such a fun night of fabulousness! Flappers, feathers, fancy footwork galore. Congratulations to all
involved in putting together such an entertaining evening - so great to see everyone go all out dressing for the occasion and then hitting the dance floor with great gusto - BRAVO! Self portrait time and well over due! My challenge today was to create an up to date portrait that I could be happy with despite the fact that I have been very sedentary for the past 4 months recovering from foot surgery. After hopping on the scales yesterday I was horrified to find a 1 kg gain per month for the past four months!!! Gulp. Anyway, I am back on my feet and moving faster each day so I'm hopeful to reverse that trend. Black on black and a nice tight crop seems to do the trick! Star struck! That is how I felt today in the company of the worlds best female surfers on my old stomping ground - Fitzroy Beach - right where I spent a large chunk of my teenage years, any spare sunny afternoon body surfing and sun bathing with my buddies. To witness these fantastically fit, strong, and smiley young women in action today was so great, perhaps just the nudge I need to get inspired to get my longboard out of it's cover and back into the surf! Time to wash that dust off I think . . . thanks girls. I was fortunate just recently to spend a day with a young lady who enjoys a little drama . . .
I just cannot walk past a beautiful flower without stopping for a closer inspection. Unfortuantely I don't always have my camera each time one catches my eye. I made of note of where I'd seen this camellia tree and managed to get back there a fortnight later and still have a selection of beautiful blooms to choose from - lucky me! Simply beautiful! Up Up and Away The new season’s crop of Up River Garlic is now sown and in a very short space of time it is up up and away! I joined the crew to help with the sowing then returned a couple of weeks later to document the progress in photographs - wow, it looks great and is powering on. Up River Garlic is a family owned business run from the Summerhayes’ picturesque property on the Deua River, up the Araluen Valley, southern NSW. Lovely thick braids of fresh garlic will be available in time for Christmas from the Moruya markets! A few weeks ago I photographed Belinda Hunt, the designer behind the label Lushington. I documented the goings on in her studio, the fabrics, the trims, the quirky embroidery designs etc. Today came the really fun part when we teamed up with model, wigs, props, the whole circus nearly. 7 outfits, 6 hours, 4 locations, 3 wigs - with the end result being some rather . . . fabulous photographs. Bravo Belinda and Samantha - Beautiful! Yesterday I met with Diana Brown from Sparklewhite - New Plymouth to document the process of lightening and brightening smiles! We certainly had lots of laughs in the process but still managed to pull together a great set of images for her to use to promote SPARKLEWHITE. If you're in the Taranaki area and interested to know more, give Diana a bell on 753 3333 and she'll be happy to talk you through the process or Click on this link to send Diana an email . . . mailto:newplymouth@sparklewhite.co.nz https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sparklewhite-Teeth-New-Plymouth/144273322340600 Diana of Sparklewhite New Plymouth - off to meet her next client. Mobile = she can come to you!
What a fun afternoon I spent documenting the goings on inside the studio workroom of the very clever Belinda Hunt, the woman behind the label LUSHINGTON designer jackets Her jackets are a fun combination of classic tailoring mixed with quirky details and beautiful finish. More pictures to follow . . . Soon to be available for purchase online! |
